We could help
Read the heartbreaking article here and join me in responding by collecting money to have cookies sent to Harvard's English Faculty. It would a positive and sweet thing to do, given the state of their affairs.
“It could be anything next; nobody really knows.” - So true, when they take your cookies away, all concepts of stability begin to crumble (resisting the obvious and terrible pun about cookies crumbling here).
Which is why we need to support our colleagues at Harvard. It could be as helpful to them as getting a major international prize. (But I'm serious. The Department could get its 15 minutes for helping them out.) :-)
