Okay, this is a pretty exciting find. The British Library is making its sound archive available to the public! An article at The Guardian explains a little more. Classical music, traditional songs, dialect recordings, oral histories and wildlife recordings...Free!
More Importantly: included is a gigantic collection of talks from the Institute of Contemporary Arts. This will link you directly to the list of lectures devoted to literature, featuring (as a very small preview) such notables as Iris Murdoch, Michael Ondaatje, Margaret Atwood, Alice Munro and Kurt Vonnegut. The moderators sound appropriately British and Vonnegut sounds appropriately... like you'd expect. Brilliant!
Enjoy!
