Fulltime Lecturer Position at UMBC
The Department of English at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County seeks to hire a full-time Lecturer to teach first-year composition. This will be a three-year appointment beginning in the Fall Term 2010, with benefits and with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in teaching composition at the university level, proven excellence in the classroom, as evidenced by high teaching evaluations, and commitment to advising and mentoring undergraduates. M.A. in English Composition/Rhetoric or another relevant field required. Normal course assignment will be 24 credits per academic year. UMBC is a dynamic public research university located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor (www.umbc.edu).
